This legacy is currently in Bridgeport and I've noticed that
after playing for 24 Sim weeks and about 6-ish months in real life, it's
becoming very unpopulated and boring. So, I'd like for you guys, the my legacy fans, to vote for what town I should move
it to.
Here are the voting options:
A) Stay in Bridgeport-
B) Appaloosa Plains-
C) Moonlight Falls-
D) Other (I have all EPs, plus Riverview and Sunlit Tides)-
Thanks a billion and a half times pi!
P.S. The heir is a firefighter, just in case that helps you decide.

4:11 Finding Her, Flying Away
"Dad..." Chase said to me. We where standing along the banks of a river located in the center of Bridgeport Park. It was hidden by pine and felt quite scenic; it was probably the most nature-y I'd been in my life. I was holding a fishing pole, trying to successfully cast it into the water. Luckily, I was not a nature man living in the country. I would have failed horribly; it would have been absolutely hilarious to everyone else and humiliating for myself.
"Yes, Chase?" I glanced at him, hoping while my eyes where averted from the water a fish would take the bait.
"I need to ask you something. We do." He tilted his head to Steven, since his hands where firmly on the fishing pole.
"Of course."
"Okay..." He took a breath, winding up his line and placing the pole beside his feet. "We want to travel the world when we graduate."
"Travel- I mean, I'd ask Holly. What about college? It isn't the worst thing..."
"No college. Neither of us have anything higher than a three grade point average anyway." Steven inputted.
"No college?"
"You didn't go." Steven pointed out, again.
"I didn't need to. You grandmother did and your grandfather. Both of your greats earned degrees...and it was a different time for your great-greats."
"We don't need to, either." Chase answered.
"Okay...you get your college fund. That's it. After that, you're on your own."
"Deal! We really want to find her." Steven excitedly clapped, dropping his pole.
"Who? Find who?" I asked. Clearly I was missing something and I disliked it.
"We're going to find mom." Chase said.
"WHAT?!" I screamed. A yank on the line sent my pole flying into the water. Mom? Calina Rice? The girl who abandoned them almost exactly eighteen years ago, tomorrow? "No. Defiantly not."
"Why not? We'll be adults and graduated a week ago. We have every right to. We will do it." Chase replied. They where going to...find Calina? No. I couldn't let her meet them. She missed out. Besides, I didn't even know where she was.
"Let's just go home." They, in complete anger, headed towards the subway, as I dialed Holly. "We need to talk. Now. Meet me by the fountain in an hour."
In an Hour...
"What's wrong?" She ran up to me, quickly.
"I...nothing major. Sorry to worry you."
"It's okay." She leaned forwards, planting a kiss on my lips."I'm sure it's important."
"The boys want to travel the world." I said in a rush.
"Chase and Steven? I'm sure it would be great experience."
"They want to find her."
"Find her?" Confusion painted itself upon her face. I hoped she would slowly figure out who I meant, so I could refrain from saying her name. Holly could barely talk about Hunter and Blake, I could barely talk about...her. Their mother. C- I avoided the word. "Her? Their...oh gaw." She looked upset; like somehow she failed by this happening. "Calina." The words, a solemn whisper, escaped her lips without a chance for her to stop the dreaded thing, completely unaware of their agony.
"Should we let them?" I asked, knowing she would be on my side.
"Yes." Her head bobbed in agreement.
"What?!" I glanced at her. SUrely I was mishearing. "Yes?"
"Yes." She repeated the syllables, slowly. "Parker, I love you. I love them, I love everyone in our family. But....they're adults. Clearly they need to find their real mother."
"You're their mother- you raised them with me. You made the cake for birthdays and painted finger paints with them. You helped with school projects and brought in homemade cakes and lasagnas and pasta salads for potlucks."
"But I wasn't the one at their birth. She was. That's all they want. To meet her. They'll go either way. Let them go knowing you support them."
"You don't want to be at their birth..." I sighed, thinking over my choice. "It was a mess."
"I'm sure it was."
"Just...what if they never come home?"
"They will. They need freedom."
"Holly, I love you."
"I love you."
"Really. Without you I probably wouldn't have let them go."
"You're-" She burst into smiles. "That's great!"
As I stood in the crowd, cheering for the new graduates I smiled. Hunter, Blake, and Trevor where eighteen. They threw the caps in the air; a sign of freedom. My children where adults. All of them. The ran down the stage, hugging us, hugging themselves, hugging my Mom and Dad who had quietly came back for the ceremony. Maverick had escaped the prison and currently was being looked for. I had survived five children.Five children had survived me. I remembered the day I told Steven and Chase they could go off, as I kissed Holly. Three more children who would want to go off on their own. i knew the answer, this time. Yes.
"Yes, Chase?" I glanced at him, hoping while my eyes where averted from the water a fish would take the bait.

4.10: Dare Ya
"Ya know what we should do?" Blake mused.
"What?" Hunter curiously cackled, from the top bunk.
"Prank Trevor." Of course my brothers, both evil, one insane and a coward, the other a genius daredevil, thought this was the best idea of the decade, if not the century.
"That's awesome! How...?"
"Uh..."
"Oo! I know, we'll tell 'im we need money for ice cream, right?"
"Yeah. And. That's not a prank."
"I know. The junkyard near the school isn't exactly tough to break into. We'll dare him to steal something."
"That's not a prank."
"So?"
"Will you do it? I mean, tell him everything."
"You're scared you'll get in trouble."
"No....I...no. You're stupid."
"I'm not failing third grade! You're a scaredy cat."
"Am not!"
"Am too! Bet you couldn't even spell scaredy cat."
"Can you? It's S-A-R-C-E...D-E-E."
"Nuh-uh. Besides, my plans never fail. We'll be fine." Spoiler alert, they weren't. They're probably still grounded. You can't exactly fault an eight year old, though. Their logic isn't in place yet. I'm still not sure if Blake's is.
"Fine. When?"
"Tomorrow after school. It's Friday, so they close early and nobody will see us. Or him." They always where closer than I was with them. I was far from a loner; I had a wide circle of friends, but pranks didn't appeal to me like it did for them. I never fit in; even though Hunter and I were almost identical, Blake's personality matched better. I was the odd triplet out.
"Hey guys." I came in smiling.
"There's monsters under your bed." Hunter quickly greeted me. Blake nodded in agreement; he was only the sidekick, he had nothing of his own, just copies of Hunter.
"Monsters aren't real."
"I saw one." I guess I should have figured out that they never had good intentions. Not hearing their conversation prior to my arrival in the room left me clueless; something that would end up leaving me on the ground in agony.
"Yeah. We saw one." Blake readily backed him out.
"Right." I leaned over, peeking underneath to see if childhood fears, monsters, existed underneath there. Nothing, other than my right shoe and some dust mom would probably- well, never (she hated cleaning) get around to vacuuming.
"Haha! Made you look." Hunter laughed, concluding that me taking the two and a half seconds looking underneath the bed was the most hilariously thing. Ever. In the history of everything, including the worlds best comedian whose name probably depends on your opinion.
"Goodnight." I rolled my eyes, climbing underneath the covers. Clearly, though I prefer not to brag, I was a tad more mature than them. Just a tad. Course, that didn't help me much during the prank.
At the Junkyard...
"Should we be doing this?" I asked.
"Why shouldn't we?" Hunter asked.
"Yeah. Why shouldn't we?" Blake followed him with an unnecessary comment that was repeating and conforming Hunter's statement.
"Because the sign says closed after four pm and nobody under eighteen is suppose to go with an adult." I pointed to the sign. My brother claims to be a genius, but apparently you don't have to read to take an IQ test.
"But we need money."
"Yeah. For ice cream." Blake said. Hunter looked at him as if he was trying to say 'Dude. Really? We all know that it wasn't necessary to say that.'
"Considering doing chores?" Honestly, Chases and Steven probably would bankrupt mom and dad if they got paid more than two-fifty a chore. That was probably more than the kid who made the paper towels they used to clean up the messes that they got paid to clean up, even though they made them. Ten minutes of explanations of why chores where ridiculous, Hunter was picking the lock to get into the building and I was sneaking in.
"RUUUUUN!" I heard Blake scream, just as I turned around to face them.
"I can hear you. Seriously." They where long gone, though. They're probably laughing like insanity a little bit down the road.
"Hello?" I called out, making sure no one was here. I wasn't sure if I wanted someone to be here, giving me a reason to back out, or if I wanted the area abandoned. Nobody answered me, unsurprisingly.
I crept out the glass sliding doors, towards the scrap. If I was smart, I would have just took the desk lamp and run. It would have been more noticeable than scrap that was verging on the stage of unmissable, but it would have gotten me out of there. Maybe the old inventing textbooks someone left to collect dust on the bookshelf would be a decent steal.
I looked around at the piles of junk. Car parts, tin cans, pipes, and everything metal that were no longer usable scattered the lawns. I sighed, staring at the high piles. I would have to find something to steal. Something, something, something. I let my mind repeat the word as I scanned the piles.
A smaller pile caught my eye. It was on the verge of tipping, but was wide enough so I could easily find something. I carefully picked up sheets of metal, discarding them. I needed something of substances. Something that would make Hunter and Blake go into shock so badly, they would never, ever ask me again and attempt a childish dare again. A rusted pipe was on top of an old metal slinky. I quickly grabbed the pipe, throwing in into the pile behind me. It teetered perilously for a second, as my breath caught, then stopped short. I glanced up, checking on it. An old bike tire was peaking out from the middle of the pile.
It-It was a full bike! I could see the gleam in the fading light. This would impress them. Forget a slinky- I had a bike! It may be rusted to pieces and there was no way you could ride it ever, but it was a bike! Excitement filled me as I took a step onto an old metal box. My flip-flop flimsily flapped on my feet, failing fearsomely to provide the perfect protection for my (not nearly perfect) feet.
My hand grasped another pipe, pulling myself up so I was now three feet off the ground. The tire was so close- just an inch, or twelve, away from my hand. I could practically feel it. I shuffled my feet around, trying to find steady footing.
"Owww!" I screamed. I felt the metal sheets slice into my legs, as the blood seeped into my shorts. I tried grasping for my leg, to cover the deep gash. My hands where no longer securing my position, as I tumbled down from my perch, onto the cold, hard dirt. The lights of day blurred as I felt my head colliding with a piece of piping. My eyes shuttered shut quickly, as the pain of bloodied wounds filled my breaths. I was losing my consciousness, one millisecond at a time. My head lolled back; I was out. Gone.
Meanwhile...
"Dinner's ready!" Dad called out. The table was already full; everyone knew it was. With me still lost in my mind knocked senseless at the junkyard, hopefully it wouldn't turn into my graveyard, there was no need for someone to pull up the mismatched plastic chair from my room that was a horrendous yellow.
"What...is it?" Steven asked.
"Chase made it." Mom helpfully said. She glanced at the burnt monstrosity- Chase's Home Ec 100 (because he wasn't good enough for 101) was haunting us all at dinner time.
"And it's edible?" Hunter chuckled, his witty remark was soon followed by a forgettable repeat by his parrot- excuse me, our brother Blake.
"Yes, but the bananas on your bedsheets you'll be seeing shortly because you're sent to your room without dinner aren't."
"Ohhh! Burnnn, Holly one, Hunter my man zero." Chase said.
"Thank you, Chase." Holly smiled. She loved getting their approval; it seemed like something she, as their step-mother, needed to be constantly earning.
"Hehehe!" Blake giggled, sounding like a creepy wind up doll that girls brought to Show' n' Tell constantly.
"Care to share, Blake?" Dad asked.
"Nooooooooope." He dragged his words out way past what they needed to be. It was an aggravating habit of his that wouldn't ever go away.
"How was your day?"
"Like Hunter's."
"How was Hunter's day?" He was greeted by silence. Blake wasn't saying anymore.
"Honey," Mom said. "Did Trevor come home?"
"I don't- no." He glanced around the room, making sure he wasn't missing something. "Boys." Turned to Hunter and Blake. The PI didn't take long to crack the case. Where's Trevor?"
"My evil scheme! He has fallen for it!" Hunter squealed.
"Where is he?"
"Not telling!"
"I swear to the effing- HUNTER. I know you. Is Trevor okay?"
"He's robbing the junkyard. We told him to." He idiotically owned up to the scheme.
"WHAT?!" Mom shrieked, her chair flying to the moon when she bolted up. "I'm getting my purse- we're going to the junkyard. Chase, Steven, watch your brothers. They shouldn't be aloud to leave the house until forever, so it should be easy." She dashed out the doors, pulling dad behind her.
Moments later, I could hear their footsteps- or I imagine I could, if I wasn't passed out covered in dried blood that had ruined my clothes and drained my veins. Mom was screaming and crying; tears glistened on her face in the moonlight. Dad would be frantically pacing the grounds, searching for his son. Mom found me. She say my blood and her heart nearly gave out from the scene. Dad picked me up, as they rushed me to the car. It was screams of how to get to the hospital and which one was nearer.
The bright white lights burst into my eyes, as the smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils. I was in the hospital gown, being...well, I didn't know the medical terms for it.If an eight year old did, they where probably a prodigy. Or obsessed with medical thingies. I'm only eight; I deserve a break.
Two Days Later...
"You alright, hon?" Mom walked into the bedroom, holding a storybook.
"I'm okay." I replied, not really. I felt weird. I lost a lot of blood and broke my leg in two places when I fell. The concussion wasn't serious, but I was to avoid any physical activity and rest for the next week.
"They're cleaning." They. She could barely even glance at Blake and Hunter since what happened, much less speak their names aloud. "Want me to read you a story?" she held up the book, smiling.
"Yes, please." I answered, glancing at the cover. My favorite story, the one about the fireman who saves everyone.
"Once upon a time," She began. Her voice was elaborate; it was deep during the fireman's role and soft during the lady who he saved. I yawned, growing tired. It was only seven-thirty, but I was being kept of pain medication to reduce the swelling of several injuries.
"Mom." I quietly whispered in between yawns. "I wanna be a fireman."
"You'll be a great one." She replied; I slid off to sleep within an instant. She leaned over, kissing the t op of my head and pulling the covers up around me.
She stood up, placing the unfinished story on top of the toy chest. I would read it when I woke up, or she would read it to me tomorrow night. I began dreaming of yellow jackets and red hats; a bright red engine whisking away to the site of the crime. I could do this. I could be a fireman. The lights flickered off and I heard the door quietly shut. My dreams where mine, in the complete darkness, and everything was left up to me.
.
"What?" Hunter curiously cackled, from the top bunk.
"Prank Trevor." Of course my brothers, both evil, one insane and a coward, the other a genius daredevil, thought this was the best idea of the decade, if not the century.

4.9: Here's the Thing
Here's the thing about triplets. You will never ever have a moment of peace and quiet. Ever. If you thought twins where bad, and trust me, as a single dad they could be pretty difficult, twins are nothing. Nothing. At least not compared to triplets. You will never have a clean house again. Ever. Forget it. Not happening bro.
"Oh, I'll do it while they're sleeping." That's what Holly said about cleaning. Only thy are never sleeping at the same time. Never. You assume two fourteen year olds would be helpful, right? Nope. Chase and Steven have pretty much done the bare minimal it takes to receive their allowance. Considering that they have to go to high school and have tons of homework, it doesn't take much for them to receive a weekly salary.
By the way, unless you work nine to five, you will not be doing your dream job. PI? Haven't worked on a case since they where born; three years ago. I'll admit, the money we have from my mother's success does mean that we'll pretty much never have to work again, but it's nice getting out of the house. Holly and I haven't left the house, or slept in weeks.
If your wife is anything like Holly, she's standing in line ordering the whole Starbucks' menu by the time the doctor says she can drink coffee again. Only you never leave the house. So instead you're stuck buying a thousand dollar espresso machine and ever flavoring human kind is aware of. But you don't have real time to make real coffee, so you rely on the crappy instant stuff. A thousand dollar machine makes it better, right? Nope.
The house can't get that out of hand, right? I mean if you hire someone then maybe- false. We hired people. Several people, after the triplets were born. None of them could handle that many babies and that many messes. "Are you sure?" If we weren't positive, the house would be cleaner. The house will get out of hand. You can't avoid it.
What if you don't get a dog? We did. We adopted a mixed breed named Cowbell. Blake, our blonde baby, named him. Actually, he said something alone the lines of "Moo, moo." Holly could clearly tell this meant Cowbell. You don't argue with the wife.
"The house is a mess." "Who left the ___ out?!" "Clean it up!" "Boys!" "Parker, tell them that they should/shouldn't ___." These are the most common phrases your wife will learn after she has triplets and is dealing with two teenagers who refuse to listen to the step-mother. She hates the term, but it's true. Chase and Steven refuse to listen to Holly, since she isn't Calina. If they met Calina, they would realize how lucky they were to have Holly. Considering that Calina just dropped off the face of the Earth fourteen years ago, that isn't much of a solution. Naturally, instead, you pile on the "Misbehave? Awesome. Clean up." punishments. Since the house is horrible, the bad people will clean it. Just like the prisoners who clean up trash on the side of the road. Don't use this comparison in front of your wife or teenage sons. Neither like it very much. Both can,. and will, make your life hell if you say this. So don't. Never think they won't if they can, because they will. So just don't do it.
"Hey, love ya." "Night, puytting them to bed." "What smells?" "I don't know, clean it up." "Yes, honey." "Thank you, Parker." This is conversation for you with your wife. This is on a special occasion. Usually it goes like this: "Parker do ___." Once again, do not let her hear you mock her by going, 'Blah, blah." in a high pitched feminine voice. She lives in a house full of guys. And is probably having that time of the month. Do not mess with her. Ever. At all. Just don't. I can not tell you how many things you should not do with triplets and twin teenagers. Who happen to be all boys.
Interesting thing about teenage boys. They like girls. Most of them, anyway. Chase likes girls. Lots. He usually needs money for dates though. But not haircuts. Guess that's why he always has such long hair. Anyways, if they like dating they need money. Lots of it. And if they really want it, they'll work for it. He, for instance, will wash dishes, take out trash, teach the toddlers skills, feed them, and change them. He will then have money for movies and dinners and flowers. If you're a good parents, you might not do this. But if you're a good parent, you probably are not in our situation. Holly is a wonderful mother. You will tell her this daily. She will freakout she is doing everything wrong. But she's not. Or at least, how the hell are you suppose to know if she is? Exactly. You don't. So be quiet and agree that she's wonderful. Because you're stressed enough.
4.8: Uno, Dos, Tres
-Holly's POV-
"The nursery is decorated." I smiled. Everything was perfect- the cribs, colors; everything.
"Are you feeling tired? Do you need a massage?"
"Parker." I laughed. He was so sweet- overprotective, yes, but sweet. "I'm fine. And the babies are, too."
"Are you sure? I mean I could-" He rambled on, as I sighed. I had done this before- pregnancy, not dealing with a doting husband. "And I read that you should eat lots of," He babbled. I looked at him, eyes shining. He was adorable and mine. He didn't mind that I had given birth, though not to a baby that had a part of me in it, before- he just loved he for me. Why couldn't I have found his before? I liked this man- no loved, like no one's damn business. And I proposed to him. That was insanity wrapped up in a manly diamond band.
"Let's dance." I blurted out, not paying attention to him anymore.
"Dance?"
"Smustle. The one I swore to gummy bears was invented b a pregnant lady in labor or some idiot husband mocking her."
"You're not offened by it?"
"Look, bitch. I carried these things before. I will dress like I'm in the eighties. Kay?" I gestured to my eyeshadow and tank top I hadn't managed to fit in since college. "I will freaking dance like it, too."
"I-okay." He nodded, turning up the stereo.
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...
You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen
"Holly! This is awesome!" Parker shouted, over the blaring music. He was dancing like insanity, something incredibly uncommon for him. "Nice moves." He commented, spinning around to face me.
"Pa-ARRKER!" I shouted, not moving.
"What?" He asked, completely clueless.
"Boys. Get the heck away. Now."
"What's going on? Holly, are you okay? Steven, Chase can you go to your rooms for a minute, please? Thanks." He stopped dancing, turning to face me.
"Coming now."
"What's- oh, sugar!" He shouted, as it dawned on him. "The babes? Are they really-?" I nodded, grimacing in pain. I had done this before. I knew what it felt like. I knew that the babies where coming now and I didn't have a choice. "The hospital- now. Let's go."
"Parker." I glanced down. There was no way I was getting to the hospital in time.
"Let's go. We can try."
"There's no use. I'm having a home birth."
"No, you aren't." He refused. He picked me- amazing, considering that I was the size of a ballooned elephant, and carried me out the door. He set me down on the elevator, so I was leaning against the wall.
"Why are you against home births?" I asked.
"Calina." He glanced up, not meeting my gaze. The one word, enough for an entire paragraph of explanations, was exactly what he hated. He hated comparing me to Calina. But she had a baby there, and somehow I was too good to.
"I'm not her."
"I know. I love you."
"I lov-VVE. Fudge. You. Love you." I gasped for breath. "Contractions." We climbed out of the elevator, carefully walking outside. Parker was trying to hail a cab. "It's no use. It's too late. All the cabs are buzzing around the bars for drunks."
"What-?"
"Subway." The seconds where ticking by and I needed to get to a hospital. We scurried down the stairs, buying tickets, and climbing aboard the train that was conveniently about to pull out of the station.
"Are you alright?"
"YES!" I screamed. "Parker. Move."
"What?!"
"The baby. Here. Now." I was sitting up; I laid down on the seats, placing Parker's jacket underneath me.
"What the-" SOme lady who was across froom us screamed. "She's giving BIRTH?!"
"I don't fu-UDGINGGG like it either!" I shouted. NY public transportation. Not exactly the ideal place to bring your little bundles of joy into the world.
"Push!" A man yelled. "I'm studying for my MD to be a pediatrician. Push!" He yelled, standing up.
"I'm pushing!" I screamed.
"He's..." Parker caught the baby, as I tried to not shout out more vulgar language. I'd never done this on a subway without pain meds. "Triplets. All boys." He smiled, as the MD student helped us out. We quickly went to the hospital afterwards, much to my pleasure.
"Welcome to the world, my little boys." I smiled. Logan, Trevor, and Hunter. I was just glad that the pregnancy was over.

4.7: First Sight: A Wedding Album
I nervously readied myself. I was going to walk down the...metaphorical aisle. Holly and I, eleven months after she proposed to me, where having our wedding in the park. She beamed as she walked down the aisle, I was waiting under the arch. Her stomach was slightly, but beautiful round; she was three and a half months pregnant. We where doing this. We where exchanging rings. I took a deep breath, readying myself.
I sat quietly, staring at him
Staring at me
As our vision collided and are hearts
subsided
Suddenly, I can't see why
I don't know why
I've never felt nothing like this
before
Hoping life will stop
Live in the moment
Know the moment
When all stops but our hearts
As I cross the room
Coming closer to you
Going closer to me
I know what I've seen is true
Honey, I can't help but love you
The world is stopping, staring at me
Staring at you
Lost in our love
Just me and you, us two
Helping me stop
Helping you go
It's life for me and you
When I cannot live without you
Our fingers touch
Hearts melt
Finding the time, finding the love
As we embrace
Knowing the future is ours to face
Love at first sight
Love at first sight
I knew it was me and I knew it was you
The minute the sun hit your face
Honey I love you
Saying I do
Was the best for me
How will I ever show again
How much I love you
When I cannot live without you
This chapter is set to Madame G's song First Sight, released on her tenth wedding anniversary (about twenty years before Parker's wedding) on her CD First Sight: A Wedding Album.

4.6: Halloween Love
"Hey beautiful." I smiled, walking into the bathroom. Holly was primping herself, staring into the mirror.
"Are you sure it's okay?"
"It's fine." I smiled. "It's more than fine. You look gorgeous."
"Really?" She glanced down at her tribal warrior outfit. "It seems a little...I don't know. Skimpy. Like, I'm saying 'Hey. Random creepy weirdos hit on me.' You know?"
"You look amazing. Besides, look at me."
"Yeah, hot guy in skimpy outfit. And?" She laughed, rolling her eyes. "I'm not complaining."
"Why would you?" I chuckled, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Oh..." She moaned, "Parker, I..." She began kissing me passionately, trying to edge herself onto the counter. "Parker, now..."
"The boys are home. They'll here...we shouldn't." I didn't need to emotionally scar my ten year olds; they had an absent mother, they didn't need to walk in on Holly and I.
"Please..." She looked into my eyes, her's wide. "Parker, we need to talk."
"What?" I panicked. I couldn't loose her. I didn't ever say those words. Girls did. Calina did. She said those. Something like that. That's what she said. What she did. Say those words leave. "Holly, please don't go..."
"Go? Are you crazy?" She laughed. "Parker, I want a baby."
"A...a baby?! What about Chase and Steven? They both love you to death and-"
"It isn't the same. I've had kids, but never been part of their lives. I never will. I want a little piece of your DNA and mine mixed together into a bundle of joy."
"I-" I hadn't thought of more children. I didn't really think of anything like that. This Holly...situation- she moved in and we loved each other. No marriage had come up. I suppose we didn't have a reason for it, but now. A baby? A baby? I just... "Holly, I can't. Not without us getting married."
"Married?" She looked surprised. "Why?" I stared into her doe eyes, wanting to answer her. I wanted to. Tell her that I needed that piece of trust- I trusted her, I really did. I just... "Never mind, let's just go to the party."
"Okay." I blushed, wishing I had a reason for her.
-Four hours later-
"Whoooo!" Holly shouted, the pumpkin spice beer- yes the horrible trend had entered into the alcohol world. "Parker." She grabbed my face, kissing it. I drunkenly kissed her back, my vision blurry and my body hot from the temperature and sweaty bodies that filled the room. Holly was gorgeous. Maybe a baby with her wouldn't be so bad....
"Let's go!" I picked her up, her long legs swinging back and fourth.
"No, no! I got a surprise." She giggled.
"What is it?" I laughed.
"Parker, how drunk are you?"
"Uh..had like three beers."
"What, like the nonalcoholic ones?"
"The pumpkin ones."
"Parker!" She shrieked. "You're acting like you're drunk."
"I'm not?"
"Nah," She laughed. "Come on." She climbed out of my arms.
"Why can't I be drunk?"
"I want you to remember this. Perfectly normal. Perfectly. Okay?"
"I'm sober."
"Good. You usually are, but ya know." She pulled my arm to the door. "This party's lame, let's dash." I ran after her, down the hallway, out to sunny morning sky.
"Where are you going?"
"Hush." I followed her down the wooded path, nicely tucked behind the apartment building that the unknown host lived in. She sat down at the bench, staring into the fountain. "It's peaceful here. Quiet, since the traffic goes on the overpass, cutting this part of the city off. It's like nature hidden in urban. I love it."
"I love you." I smiled.
"I love you more." She leaned over, planting a kiss firmly on my lips.
"I'm so lucky to have you."
"I feel even luckier." She stopped the kiss, pulling away. "I wanted a baby...and you said not without marriage. I can't wait Parker. I'm almost thirty, you are. I-I...it's raining." She smiled, staring up into the sky. The drizzle began pouring down upon us. I looked at her, my face a painting of pure confusion.
"You're confused." I nodded, in agreement. "Damn. Doing this all wrong. I...look. I watched tons of these videos and everything on how this is suppose to go."
"How what is suppose to go?"
"No yet. Can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because...because," She paused, looking at her feet. "Do I have to get on the ground? Yeah."
"What are you-oh my."
"Parker? Marry me. Please?"
"I-I...kinda though I'd be doing this."
"Damn you. I'm taking that as a sure."
"Sure. Yes! I mean. Marry me Holly. I'll marry you."
"I bought you a ring." She slipped it onto my finger.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, but I'd prefer to say...nothing." She leaned forwards, kissing me on the lips for the hundredth time.
Married. Holly proposing? It was insane- I never thought of myself being a traditionalist- I was far from one, but I never imagined myself being married like this. I didn't hate it. The twins where awesome, my PI business great, I was going to marry a wonderful woman. You didn't plan out life, it just kind of rolled at you, but if you did, I defiantly would pick this; I just would of had to have thought of it.
NOTE: I know Halloween was weeks ago, but I really thought it would a nice theme. I haven't posted in a week and really wanted to do something short and sweet. Comments and feedback are appreciated. Thanks! ☺

4.5 Part Two: Hey, It's Holly
The library. That's where she said she worked sometimes. I felt stupid, crouching between book shelves, holding up fake plants. This would have been a better stakeout costume if I was at the park, enjoying the great outdoors, instead of the library, soaking up the florescent lightening and smell of ink. I was working on a case, some man thought that his boss, the library's history department chair, was running a small criminal ring. Something about rare books being replaced with fakes. I quickly agreed to the case, knowing it would give me a reason to look for Holly, without seeming like a crazy stalker.
"Parker?"
"Ah!" I screamed, turning around. "Hi, um-?" I turned around, gasping.
"Hey, it's Holly. Is it Halloween or International Crazy Peoples day?"
"I'm a P.I. this is for a case."
"Everyone can see you, even with the bush things."
"Do you work here?"
"What? No."
"Two weeks ago, at the club..."
"Oh." She took a deep breath. "What else did I tell you?"
"Nothing, really."
"Parker, we need to talk."
"Iamnotstalkingyou."
"Huh? What, wait stalking me? I believe the private investigator story-"
"It's true."
"Great. Doesn't matter to me, but great. I need to tell you something."
"Alright." I nervously said.
"Want to get dinner or something?"
"It's ten am."
"I know, I just can't take you seriously when you're holding a tree."
"I see your point. Let's go." I took her hand, as we walked to the bistro across the street. "Table for two, please." I asked the hostess.
"Right this way, sir." She directed us to a nice table.
"Thank you." Holly smiled. We sat quietly, in awkward silence. "So...nice view." I glanced around you could see the ocean from our table; it was quite nice.
"Yeah. Great. So what exactly did you have to talk about?" I asked, cutting to the chase.
"We should really get to know eachother first."
"I'm Parker Janes. I'm twenty-five, I have twin sons, Chase and Steven."
"Wait, twins? SONS?!"
"Yeah..." I quickly said.
"Are you married? Dating?"
"I'm single."
"Dead?"
"Nope...she left..."
"Thank goodness. I mean not- I just- I'm not a home wrecker."
"I understand. What about you?"
"Surrogate mother."
"Huh?"
"I'm a surrogate mother. I was broke and needed money and have a good medical background..."
"Wait, so do you have kids?!"
"No.Well, two. I've been pregnant twice, but neither of the babies used my...eggs. This couple, really sweet, wanted a baby, but the mother was too sick to carry a baby. So, I was like an oven. The baby is one hundred percent not me. And then, I carried triplets for a gay couple. I mean, complete accident, suppose to be one baby, right? They used an anonymous donor." Surrogate mother? "Parker? Are you okay? Say something."
"Not the oddest relationship I've had."
"Really?"
"Look, do you want a relationship?"
"I don't know. I was at the library, removing myself from the donor sites and everything; I'm not one anymore. I don't know. I'm unemployed now."
"I have sons, so...well, you obviously like children."
"I do. I want a big family...I just, I've not had a real relationship ever since I started my job."
"That's alright...?"
"I don't really want a real relationship. I'll mess it up."
"No you won't."
"What if we kept it causal?"
"I can't do that."
"What? Why not?"
"Well, I...when I was eighteen," And I launched into my story. Meredith, Calina, my PI business. Everything. The case and then being a homeworker. It was something I couldn't do again. "I...I really want a real relationship. And I like you, why not take a shot at it?"
"I just can't be someone's mom yet. I want a big family, but raising twins? What if it doesn't work out?"
"It may not, it may."
"Want to be my unofficial boyfriend?"
"What?"
"Look, this can we a relationship, we just call it good friends. We'll date and celebrate anniversaries and have emotions and sex and all, but we won't call it dating."
"Okay."
"Do not just say yes because I said sex."
"Totally not."
"And...I want babies, but not too soon. And you know, twins are good practice. Okay let's do this."
"Did we just start dating without any of my opinions?"
"Pretty much."
"Wow...I need-"
"Water."
"Yeah, sounds good. So, we aren't dating. Officially."
"But this is a date. And I'm paying."
"You're unemployed though, you need money."
"I'll be fine."
"I'm kind of rich. My mother was Madame G."
"The famous singer?!"
"The one and only." I smiled.
"Fine you can pay."
I looked at Holly. A few days ago and this was just a dream; something I wanted to happen now it was official. And this was crazy. it started happening so fast, Holly and I dating, her moving in, the boy's getting a mother. We didn't officially begin dating though. We where 'friends'. Friends who celebrated the boy's seventh, then eighth, then ninth birthday together. Holly and I were insanely in love. We just weren't dating. Yet.
Crazy right? I know! What did you guys think? Leave a comment below to let me know. ☺
